Actor Alia Bhatt along with father Mahesh Bhatt hosted the screening of Soni Razdan’s film Yours Truly on Monday. The film premieres on digital streaming platform Zee5 on May 3. The event turned out to be a family affair as the Bhatts posed together for the paparazzi and welcomed guests at the event.
Dressed in a red floral dress, Alia was all smiles as she stood between her parents. The Bhatts were joined by actor Aahana Kumra who attended the event in a white lace gown.
Directed by National award-winning filmmaker Sanjoy Nag, Yours Truly stars Soni Razdan in the lead role along with Aahana, Pankaj Tripathi and Vinay Pathak. Mahesh has also played a small but pivotal role in the film. It is based on Annie Zaidi’s story ‘The One That Was Announced’ and portrays Soni as a middle-aged woman named Mithi, who is on her journey to find love.

According to a report in DNA, Soni Razdan said about the film, “Yours Truly is a sensitive film about loneliness and finding love. The story has a universal appeal and it will strike a chord across age groups. I am looking forward to the release of the film.”
Soni was recently seen in Ashvin Kumar’s No Fathers in Kashmir and had earlier shared the screen space with Alia in the 2018 award-winning film, Raazi. Alia will soon begin work on her father’s film Sadak 2 which also stars Aditya Roy Kapoor, Pooja Bhatt, and Sanjay Dutt.
Later, Alia was spotted at the Mumbai airport with Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji as they flew to London for the film’s shoot. Dressed in casuals, Alia carried a double-sided twin bag which caught the attention of the paparazzi. Alia will be seen sharing the screen space with boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor for the first time in Brahmastra.
Talking about the film, the actor had told Pinkvilla in an interview, “It’s a vision of some other kind, but at the same time, it’s rooted in the Indian sentiment. Brahmastra is the most powerful weapon that was used in every battle - the Ramayana and Mahabharata. In our film, there’s a reference to the Indian mythology which is why we launched our first logo in the sky. There’s a reason for it. The film is set in contemporary, modern times but the world is deeply a part of our mythology. You feel the magnitude and the amazingness of what’s possible to get out of our own Indian roots and the universe. There’s Amit ji’s dialogue which says ‘jisme pure brahmand ki shakti bhari hui hai’.”
